Dave Barthmuss, told Brad Berman from Plugincars that the company may surprise us at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show with a new model, hinting at a plug-in hybrid crossover. That has announced at a recent event called “Charged 2011 – EV Symposium Silicon Valley”. Chevrolet has already shown a similar concept with the Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept, so it is quite possible that the car we will see it the production version of the study.

Pricing information on its North American replacement for the Chevrolet Aveo, the new Sonic, has been released by GM. When the subcompact model goes on sale in the U.S. this fall, it will be available in four-door sedan and five-door hatchback body styles with prices including destination to start from US$14,495 and US$15,395 (€10,290 – €10,930) respectively.

I like this design of Chevrolet truck concept, it is more off-road appearance. That is 2011 Chevrolet Colorado Rally Concept, the Argentine study is a double-cab racing version of that concept fitted with a bevy of off-road accessories and components such as the front and rear bumper hooks and tow winches, an adjustable suspension that allows the driver to increase the ride height by 5 inches and special acrylic windows.

At the Oshawa Assembly Plant, GM confirmed that a 6-speed automatic transmission will be offered alongside the previously announced 6-speed manual gearbox for the top-end 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 model. That announcement has been reveled at event of 45th Anniversary Special Edition at the Camaro Homecoming.

General Motors announced pricing information for the 2012 model year Chevrolet Volt, which is now available for order in all 50 states, this morning. The 2011 Volt was offered in just seven states and the District of Columbia. GM has dropped the base price for its extended range electric vehicle by a little over $1,000 to $39,995, which includes an $850 destination freight charge but excludes tax, title and license fees. Those that qualify for a full federal tax credit .
