Honda has joined the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) in Europe to demonstrate the viability of fuel cell technology and support the essential development of a European hydrogen refueling infrastructure. Honda will support CEP activities by providing two FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicles. Honda firmly believes that hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles are the ultimate solution in reducing CO2 emissions from road transportation.

Finally pumping new products into the pipeline after a few years’ hiatus, Chrysler will be rolling out a refreshed mid-size sedan for 2011. While the mention of a new powertrain, revised interior, and other tweaks perked our ears, what really grabbed our attention was the announcement that the company will drop the Sebring nameplate altogether. What Chrysler got was a cheap, hot mess that needed massive discounts to be moved, mainly to rental fleets. Imagine working the counter at Avis and telling people that they’re stuck with a Sebring. Talk about an easy sell to “upgrade” to a full-size Kia Amanti.

The Rio5 is Kia’s brand-new Rio small sedan was joined by the hatchback version of the sub compact model. The 2012 Kia Rio5 Hatchback is available with a 1.6-liter GDI four-cylinder engine with the option of either a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic. The direct-injection four-pot delivers 138 horsepower, and thanks to the addition of Kia’s ISG start-stop technology, it returns 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

2012 Kia Soul making its world premiers at the 2011 New York International Auto Show. 2012 Soul comes with a number of technology and powertrain enhancements and some subtle design updates. The Soul gets a new 1.6-liter GDI four-pot that delivers 11 percent more power than before at 135HP, while returning 28mpg city and 34 mpg highway (8.4-6.9lt/100km), which translates into a 10 percent improvement over the previous engine.

Kia Motors and its Chinese joint venture partner, Dongfeng Yueda Kia, unveiled the Kia K2 B-segment sedan at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show. The car will arrive in Europe in the late summer of 2011. A 5-door hatchback of version of the Kia K2 will commence production in August of this year.

Kia present the new high-grade facelifted three-door Pro_Cee’d 4 has been introduced in the UK. The car comes with added standard features and is powered by the latest version of Kia’s 1.6-liter turbo diesel producing 126bhp or 13bhp more than the previous engine for a 0-60mph (96km/h) sprint time of a little over 10 seconds and a top speed of 122 mph (196 km/h).
