Ford wants to offer enthusiasts an affordable way to road race with he introduction of the Mustang Boss 302S. It is Ford’s third competition car to be sold through Ford Racing dealers, after the Mustang FR500S and FR500 CJ “Cobra Jet”.

The Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca is powered by the standard 440 HP 5.0L V8 Boss 302 engine but has some optimizations and tuning done to deliver power to the ground more efficiently. Some of those optimizations are: front brake ducts (shorter stopping distance), better handling (1.03g of later acceleration), 19″ alloy racing wheels with R-compund ultra-high performance tires, and some cool exterior enhancements.

Ford Mustang Boss 302R prepared by Bud Moore Engineering from a factory-built race car ready for track days and road racing in a number of Grand-Am, SCCA and NASA classes. Boss 2010 with a new 5.0-liter V-8 engine. Ford Mustang Boss 302R is a serialized off-road-only vehicle use each base model will come with a 5.0-liter four-valve engine and a six-speed manual transmission with a roll cage, race seats, safety harness, data acquisition and race dampers/springs, and a Brembo brake and tire package.
