By the name, BMW M3 DTM Concept is intended for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters competitions. In addition, BMW also plan to bring the BMW M3 DTM Concept sets to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, it is powered by a 480HP V8 built according to the racing series’ new regulations.

Dave Barthmuss, told Brad Berman from Plugincars that the company may surprise us at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show with a new model, hinting at a plug-in hybrid crossover. That has announced at a recent event called “Charged 2011 – EV Symposium Silicon Valley”.  Chevrolet has already shown a similar concept with the Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept, so it is quite possible that the car we will see it the production version of the study.

Starting in 2013 season, Volkswagen officially will enter a factory team to the World Rally Championship starting with the 2013 season. The announcement was made in Italy, where journalists had the chance to take a first look at the car VW will throw in the competition, the 300HP Polo R WRC, shown here as a prototype. Still under development, the rally-prepped supermini will be powered by a turbocharged, direct injection 1.6-liter TSI turbo engine and will use a four-wheel drive system.

Beside Theme, Lancia present Flavia at next month’s Geneva Salon as the Italian brand deepens its ties with Chrysler by incorporating the latter’s models into its range. Flavia comes with two option model, sedan and convertible, which pay tribute not to their historic ancestor of the 1960s but to art of badge engineering. The two Flavia studies are based on the respective body styles of the Chrysler 200.

Porsche Panamera S Hybrid will present at the 2011 Geneva Salon Show. According to the automaker, the new 380HP hybrid GT is the most economical Porsche of all time with a combined fuel economy of 6.8 lt/100km or 34.6 mpg US, and also boasts the lowest CO2 output of any large sports sedan in the luxury segment with 159 g/km (both figures achieved with the optional low resistance tires).

Toyota iQ all-electric prototype will make its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The EV prototype is currently being tested on European roads, with a potential market launch through a leasing programme in 2012. The Japanese company will also bring the car in the USA (as a Scion) and is also investigating its viability in other regions.
