After a distinguished career at General Motors that culminated in his being appointed only the fifth vice president of design in the company’s history, he decided to build a concept car of his own. Wayne Cherry has always loved concept cars. Then you take a close look at Cherry’s VSR street rod, at the hardware, the workmanship, and, most of all, the design, and you realize it could easily take center stage as a concept car on the GM stand at the next international auto show.
2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon
The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon combines the performance and luxury of the landmark Cadillac CTS-V Sport Sedan with the dramatic design of the CTS Sport Wagon. The exterior is finished in Midnight Silver, first seen on the Cadillac Sixteen Concept, and accented by lustrous Liquid Silver-finished wheels and a black chrome finish on the grille’s mesh insert. The rear fascia, upper spoiler and center high-mounted stop lamp are also unique to the show car.

2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

At the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Cadillac presents 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is car luxury sports coupe will be produced in the summer of this year. Its suite of technical and performance elements includes Magnetic Ride Control, racing-bred Brembo brakes and an available automatic transmission with paddle-shift control.
2010 Cadillac CTS-V Challenge

Last month as part of GM’s “May the Best Car Win” marketing campaign, Bob Lutz challenged journalists find a sedan that could beat the CTS-V. To show that he was serious, Cadillac has annonuced a special V-Series Challenge event. Journalists have been asked to pick any stock production sedan they want and then to bring it to Monticello to see if they can beat the CTS-V’s time. We think that the CTS-V stands a good chance of coming out on top, unless of course you have a Prsche Panamera you want to lend us.
